My 2nd toe started hurting 6 days ago, it started out being mildly annoying, but progressed to actually hurting so I went to my family doctor who felt it was gout and gave me Colchicine (sp?) I’ve now taken 2 doses of this and am in excruciating pain. The pain gets far worse when I lay down or put my foot up. My toe is swollen and red.
