Hi, I am interested in the occurrence of plantar warts. Generally (not scientifically, through my case load) it seems: 1) warts (verrucae) appear in families…genetic link? 2) warts don’t seem to appear as we age, i.e if a person doesn’t get them when they are young, they are less likely to get them as they age..(I know this is very general, my eldest patient was 73 when his first verrucae appeared) However..has anyone noticed any correlation between hypothyroidism and plantar warts?
