Pseudogout: Calcium pyrophosphate crystal deposition in shoulder, knee, elbow, etc, like gout, it is very painful & more commmon with low Mg and thiamine (ethanol abuse, low vit D, HPTH, etc,), low P (HPTH, low vit D), high Fe (hemochromatosis, etc,), Pb (which causes HPTH), oxalate & Ca (hyperparathyroidism, cancer, etc,).
