I am a 34 year old female and have had fibular sesamoiditis for 5 years (diagnoised just over 3 years) following someone standing on my foot in stilletto heels. After trying orthics, adapted footwear, physio and injections I have now been told either stay as I am or have surgery. The doctors don’t seem keen on my having the surgery and have said it will be only a 50% chance of success so the decision is mine to make.
