Pain inside of foot HELP

Hi! A year and a half ago I was at a work out class at the YMCA and I came down on my left foot and felt a horrible pain about an inch above my heel around the arch. The next day I wore my asics to work and it felt like a tiny rope was stuck on my foot. I went to a Podiatrist got an x-ray and was given anti inflamatories and was told it was plantar fasciitis
