Kinesio Taping for Foot Posture Problems?

Kinesio taping became all the rage after the TV images of athletes wearing the brightly colored tape on their shoulders and knees for injuries at the 2008 Bejing Olympics. So, of course if Olympic athletes are using it then it must be right and if its a pretty color then it must be even more effective. Since then the number of clinicians anecdotally swearing by the effectiveness of Kinesio taping is increasing and there are plenty of courses to go on for clinicians to learn more about it. Link between foot intrinsic muscles and arch height

Hi everyone, I remember reading a discussion about the barefoot running and minimalist footwear and how some claim that by going barefoot or working out or running in minimalist shoes you would strengthen the foot intrinsics and create an arch thereby eliminating a lot of foot problems Someone later stated something to the effect that according to some study, there is no link with intrinsic muscles and arch height.
