My MRI report on my right ankle reads “subtle linear oblique signal through the base of the cornuate process of the navicular and the medial tuberosity.” I understand that this is consistent with a stress fracture, but my question is about the wording “cornuate process”. When I google this, everything points to an accessory navicular. Do I have this extra bone, or is this just describing the base of the navicular bone?
