I have always got pains in my ankle ever since I was about 10, but it would only ever hurt when I was tired (very odd I know) and so I would go to bed and it would be fine the next morning. I am now nearly 17, and for the past 2 years or so (approximately) I have experienced worse problems. My ankles ‘lock’ when sitting and the only way to get rid of it is to point my foot down and it will make a very loud clicking noise.
