Anyone tried prolotherapy?

In short: I asked my podiatrist about ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy). He said “I actually used to perform ESWT when I was an intern.” But, he is skeptical of the treatment and instead recommended that I try my orthotics out for a couple more months.
