foot burning and pain

I recently have experienced extreme pain on both bottom and tops of my feet…The doctor says it is plantar fsaschtis, and I also have a lot of burning on the bottom of my feet…I really don’t think I have diabetes, as I have always had low blood sugar…Any other possibilities?
