I fractured my ankle on the 5/11, im in a backslab cast at the moment and booked in for surgery on 18/11 but the swelling persists. I have been drinking plenty of fluids (clear water) and it has been elevated for about 18 hours each day The first few days of rest the swelling decreased slightly but everytime i stand up it hurts – obviously – and my toes seem to go slighty blue/purple and appears to “re-swell”, is this even possible? Is there something i am doing wrong?
