I have a question just out of curiousity. When someone has a calcaneal osteotomy, where the heel slides to the medial side, does a surgeon smooth down the bone on the lateral side where they cut it? I’m not sure how far over the slide is but does that leave a sharp edge of a bone on the lateral side that potentially can cut or damage ligaments or tendons that might rub or press against it
