Just wondering if anyone is doing PCR for dermatophytes in their clinics? If so which kits and PCR/Thermal Cycler used – any comments regarding cost/benefit for those failing empiric trial of topical antifungal for skin lesion presenting as tinea pedis or prior to considering oral antifungal?
