Severe left foot pain and ice cold feet

My daughter started complaining last Wednesday her left foot hurt and it was difficult to walk. The pain was isolated to the bottom/side of the outer left foot in the middle, next to the arch between the heel and little toe. On Thursday she was in tears due to the pain so I took her in to see her doctor yesterday (Friday) of the same week
