Shoe/foot size reseach

Hi I’m currently working on a health promotion presentation and i’ve heard about some research conducted on US forces personnel regarding their worn shoe sizes vs measured feet sizes. I’m struggling to find any links to it on the net. Could anyone please provide me with some direction to it?
