Should the biofilm be removed after phenolisation

After my training in advanced wound care several years ago I started to use moist wound healing for the first week, remove the biofilm from the wound in the sulcus then continue with a drier dressing to encourage epithelialisation. I seem to have better results, is anyone else doing this?
