Spasm of the extensor digitorium?

Hi, please could someone help?19 YO female with bilateral hammer toes (2nd) with some restriction into extension. She experiences locking of the PIPJ in a hyperextended position with pain and some abduction of the 2nd toes & left 3 PIPJ.
