Public Consultation on Podiatry Prescribing in Tasmania

Public Consultation on Podiatry Prescribing in Tasmania Quote: Public comment is being sought on proposed changes to the Poisons Act 1971 which would enable podiatrists and podiatric surgeons to prescribe a limited range of Schedule 2, 3, 4 and 8 medicines in Tasmania. The Podiatry Board of Australia (PodBA) has established a governance structure to support podiatry prescribing which underpins the podiatry prescribing frameworks currently in place in all jurisdictions, except Tasmania. Podiatry prescribing has been successfully and safely implemented in these other jurisdictions and there is growing evidence demonstrating the benefits of podiatry prescribing. Continue reading
