Hi all I am seeking your advice regarding the billing of orthodigital devices through DVA. For many years I have used the code F211-Orthodigital traction device for Otoform K 2-4 digital props. I have recently been informed by DVA that this is not correct.The reasoning: given the cost of an 800g tub of silicone putty + catalyst is $88 that item code is not intended for use for custom moulded silicone putty. Medibank Private – Podiatry Provider Review
Hi all, I, amongst the rest of the profession (I assume), recently received correspondence from Medibank Private letting me know of their proposal to stop making payments for goods and services supplied by podiatrists identified as operating outside of Medibank’s Requirements for Recognised Providers. In a nutshell, this relates quite specifically to settings, where (in the opinion of Medibank) the podiatrist is practicing in a predominantly retail environment. Continue reading
