When a running shoe retail store uses a treadmill and video for gait analysis, does anyone actually have any idea what they are looking for and how that information is then translated into a specific shoe recommendation? How do they recommend one shoe over another on the basis of the video gait analysis? It can’t really be just to decide if they are a “supinators”, “neutral” or “pronator”, as you can do that just by looking at a foot
