My little girl is 9 yrs old, she has been dancing (disco, street, rock and roll, freestyle team) for 4 years. Last Summer she was playing, swinging her legs while holding on top the settee and bashed her heel really hard on the floor, the scream made me think she had done something really serious and initially she couldnt put it down but later that day it eased off and she could walked but it was painful, next day she had a dance lesson which we cancelled to rest her foot as she had a competition on the sunday, on the sunday she wasnt too bad we strapped the foot and ankle up and gave her anti inflammatory pain killers and she danced although it was sore. Since then shes had recurrent pain in her heel sometimes both but mainly one.
