fifth metatarsal break not healing

I have an oblique break of the 5th metatarsal right through the middle of the long part. I was put in a walking aircast and the orthopedic doctor i saw said to wear it for a month and that this kind of break heals well. I just went back after a month to have a follow-up x-ray as i was not convinced that all was good
