Shot in foot leads to pain and burning..

I have an injury to the 5th metatarsal bone on the out side of my right foot, after hitting the bone hard. 3 months later I saw a podiatrist because it kept hurting, and he diagnosed a Stress Fracture, but couldn’t see anything on the x-rays.
