Hi there, I broke my 5th Metatarsal basically standing still a week ago and have had very little pain from my foot at all. I have been xrayed (it is an Avulsion fracture with small displacement) and am in a fiberglass cast with instructions not to weight bear at all for 8 to 12 weeks!!! I got my self a knee walker after reading another post on this site and it has been an absolute lifesaver as I have 3 children under 7 and look after children during the day as my job (which I have to continue for financial reasons).
