Fifth Metatarsal Pain

I have chronic pain in my fifth metatarsal following sugery. My surgery (modified kidner procedure and gastrocnemius release) went well but when I was allowed to resume weight bearing with the aid of a leg brace and hard boot plus crutches I had severe lateral foot pain and a trapped peroneus.
