Hard, itchy white bumps and open sores

HI all I hope someone can help my husband! His problems started several months ago with some hard white itchy bumps on the sole of his foot. Over time they would break open and weep clear fluid when scratched. He went to the Dr who diagnosed corns and prescribed corn plasters
