Hi, I had a jones fracture in April 2009, this healed after 8 weeks of having a cast/boot. I returned to playing football and running (neither at a serious level) and have been fine. However, i’ve recently experienced an on-going pain in the area of the jones fracture & the pain is similar to the general discomfort i had prior to the actual break of the 5th bone.
