Sad to hear about the passing of Sir George Martin, who many describe as the “Fifth Beatle” due to his musical influence on John, Paul, George and Ringo and their pioneering music of the time. As a Beatles fan of over a half-century, and my first exposure to the British people being my love of Beatles music in my youth, I have always felt that contributions of George Martin greatly influenced the Beatles.
