I am starting the 5th week of healing of a fracture at the toe end of the shaft of my 5th metatarsal. After the initial emergency room diagnosis and injury it took two weeks, during which I was non weight bearing, to see an orthopedic specialist. I am concerned because the specialist never took a new set of x-rays to look at my injury.He wrapped it in an ace bandage, gave me a walking shoe, and sent me on my way-telling me I could start walking on it
