I experienced a Jones fracture on 6/30. After seeing the X-ray of my foot my doctor put me in a fiberglass cast (non-wait bearing) on 7/3–I almost cancelled the appointment because the pain and swelling were improving each day and I figured I just had a bad sprain. He said to expect to be in a cast for 6 weeks
